Intrusion Detection Systems Maintenance, Department of the Army, Fort Hood, Texas

GCS provides all management, labor, supplies, tools and equipment (hardware/software) necessary to administer, test (which includes managing complex scheduling), repair and maintain the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System (ACS) and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV). The work required inspection, testing, assessment, repair and preventative maintenance of IDS, ACS and CCTV Systems. Fort Hood has 600+ accounts spread across several multi-occupancy buildings (e.g. administrative buildings, SCIFS, arms rooms, research labs and communications rooms) and Access Control Points. We provide unscheduled maintenance (24/7/365) within a 2-hour response time. We document all service calls and tasks performed; provide COR and Government representatives’ status updates and reports; and coordinate with Physical Security and building occupants as needed regarding upcoming testing or maintenance. Responsibilities also include Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC); environmental and safety compliance management; completing new systems installations; software upgrades; updated CAD drawings; and system training for Government personnel.

 

Installation and Testing of Physical Access Control System, Closed Circuit Television, and Perimeter Intrusion Detection System, Federal Aviation Administration Facility, Anchorage, Alaska

GCS installed and tested devices for the PACS and CCTV systems, as well as performed maintenance on all equipment and labor that fell under warranty. Work included completing conduit runs from existing infrastructure, installing specified cable (Copper and FOC) for the PACS, CCTV and Perimeter Intrusion Detection (PIDS) Systems as well as installing the required devices for the PACS and CCTV Systems at the Anchorage Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). The scope of work for the facility included 92 door openings and the installation of 40 CCTV cameras. GCS removed, repaired and installed all specified doors, frames, door hardware (electric strikes, closers, rod devices, trim, astragals, etc.) for the ACS. GCS installed all specified Access Control Cable, specified Access Control Devices, including Proximity Card Readers, Request to Exit devices, Door Position Switches, and Control Panels. We modified previously identified conduit infrastructure requiring extending, re-routing or box placement to support the CCTV system. GCS provided and installed all specified CCTV cables and installed all specified CCTV devices including cameras, monitors, NVR’s, power supplies, system cabinets, etc. We also installed the necessary infrastructure to support PIDS (FFT and PA CCTV cameras). This included conduit, trenching, and cable (copper and fiber optic) to predetermined points of demarcation.

 

Installation and Testing of Physical Access Control System, Closed Circuit Television, Federal Aviation Administration Facility, Honolulu, Hawaii

GCS performed all installation and testing of devices for the PACS and CCTV System. This work included completing conduit runs from existing infrastructure, installing specified cable (Copper and FOC) for the PACS, CCTV and PIDS Systems as well as installing the required devices for the PACS and CCTV Systems at the Honolulu Control Facility. GCS removed, repaired and installed all specified doors, frames, door hardware (Electric strikes, closers, rod devices, trim, astragals, etc.) for the Access Control System. GCS installed all specified Access Control Cable, and all specified Access Control Devices including Proximity Card readers, Request to Exit Devices, Door Position Switches, Control Panels, etc. GCS modified conduit infrastructure requiring extending, re-routing or box placement to support the CCTV System. GCS provided and installed all specified CCTV cable and installed all specified CCTV devices to include cameras, monitors, NVR’s, power supplies, system cabinets, etc. GCS installed necessary infrastructure to support PIDS (FFT and PA CCTV cameras). This included conduit, trenching, cable (Copper and FOC) to predetermined points of demarcation.

 

Installation and Testing of Physical Access Control System and Closed Circuit Television, Federal Aviation Administration Facility, Seattle, Washington

The scope of work consisted of installation and testing of devices for PACS and CCTV systems. This included completing conduit runs from existing infrastructure, installing specified cable (Copper and FOC) for the PACS and CCTV Systems as well as installing the required devices for the PACS and CCTV systems at the Auburn Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). GCS removed, repaired and installed all specified doors, frames, door hardware (Electric strikes, closers, rod devices, trim, astragals, latch guards, etc.) for the Access Control System. All specified Access Control Cable and all specified Access Control devices including Proximity Card Readers, Request to Exit devices, Door Position Switches, control panels, etc., were installed by GCS. GCS modified previously identified conduit infrastructure requiring extending, re-routing or box placement to support the CCTV System. GCS provided and installed all specified CCTV cable and installed all specified CCTV devices to including cameras, monitors, NVR’s, power supplies, system cabinets, etc. We also performed maintenance on all equipment and labor that fell under warranty.

 

Automated Surveillance System MEVA Sites, Gates 5 and 7, Pine Bluff Arsenal, Arkansas

The work performed at the Pine Bluff Arsenal for this contract included, but was not limited to, civil construction, site demolition, earthwork, concrete construction, road construction, traffic signals, passive barriers, automated barrier arms, exterior lighting and a backup generator. Additional responsibilities included civil construction, installing traffic signals and active/passive barriers with associated safety and control systems, quality control, reporting, and scheduling.

GCS and its team designed and built multiple access control points and installed a video surveillance system controlled from three different locations, and installed a fiber optics network. Each access control point includes an automated exit and entrance kiosk, protective barriers, protective bollards, traffic control lights, pedestrian turnstiles, automated gate controls, an access control self-contained network controlled remotely from the operations center located two miles away over an extensive fiber-optic network.

The installation included nearly 22,000 linear feet of underground cable, 103 surveillance cameras, 43 new light poles, 42,560 ft.² non-organizational parking. GCS installed all fiber-optic cabling and terminations.

Federal Emergency Management Agency National Access Control and CCTV Maintenance and Installation

As a preferred contractor for the FEMA National Maintenance and Installation contract, GCS is responsible for rapid response service calls throughout the Western United States performing CCTV and Access Control work in Regions IIIV, IX and X. Our rapid response team can be deployed within 24 hours of notification to respond to emergency service calls throughout our areas of responsibility..
