Outstanding Customer Service – The best way to exceed customer service is to do the job right the first time. All of us should strive to achieve the highest level of standards in all we do. It’s easy to be satisfied with the very best!
Teamwork – To quote Henry Ford, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” We must be committed to working together and have confidence in the team’s ability to achieve our goals. Recognize the strengths of your team and stay committed to the team from the top of the corporate structure to the employees at our remote locations. Only together can we achieve our goals and objectives.
Commitment – “Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.” ― Peter F. Drucker. We plan to succeed, that is why we create effective processes, hire, and train qualified personnel, and build relationships to maintain long-term success.
Growth – “Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” – Ben Franklin. With growth, we must assess ourselves, new markets, and industry trends to navigate the corporate ship in the right direction to create long-term stability.

Quality Assurance Program:
GCS understands the importance of quality and has designed an approach to Quality Control that will meet or exceed the demands of the SeaPort contract. Maintaining the very highest standard of quality is a company policy practiced consistently at every level, and GCS’ Quality Assurance Program has proven effective in ensuring optimum performance. Quality is not just a program or plan, it’s a culture; an attitude to be proud of the work performed. This program, like any other, only works with a firm commitment by all involved. Our employees join us in our philosophy concerning quality. We instill a “get the job done right the first time” attitude in everyone. We instruct our employees and provide comprehensive and continued training. Through in-house training on all tools and equipment and trades licensing CEU’s. This gives our employees current knowledge of tools, equipment and code changes. By monitoring their performance, we ensure top quality product delivery through superior tradesman performance.

Stressing early identification and elimination of problems through a system of self-inspections and audits, the quality control procedures emphasize the importance of strict compliance with contractual requirements. It is GCS’ policy to:
- Delegate a proportionate share of responsibility to each level of management within the organization. Each level will be held responsible for application and enforcement of policy within its respective area of authority. Emphasis on management participation is based on GCS’ recognition that obvious management involvement in Quality is a strong motivation and the best assurance for success of the program.
- Avoid conflict of interest in administration of the quality program. For this reason, the Quality Control Inspector will report to and be responsible only to Corporate Quality Control Manager. This will provide the QC Inspector with a clear, direct line of communication with the individual who has authority and responsibility above the project level.
- Staff the Quality Control Inspector position with a qualified, trained individual. The QC Inspector will, through audits and inspections ascertain that work is being done at a satisfactory level of workmanship, and that deviations and deficiencies are documented, reported and corrected. He will review all discrepancy reports, including those initiated by the QAE. Information from these reports will be categorized and tabulated to allow study and analysis of trends and recurring problems. Records of discrepancies and results of corrective action will be maintained for inspection.
- Explain to each employee and subcontractor, through an initial orientation and training program (to include ongoing refresher classes), the program, the individual’s role in it and their expected contribution. A primary objective of the quality awareness program is to promote a sense of pride in workmanship. Top management will lead this program and take a strong, active part in its implementation.
- Delegate to the Quality Control Inspector the necessary authority, such as stop work authority, to make Quality a viable program. This delegated authority for the quality function ensures that deficiencies will be corrected.
